UMIC recently played host to what is being hailed as a truly successful funding conference in the North West this year. Despite the torrential downpour, a full house turned out to discover more about innovative funding options available to high growth businesses, including the NWDA Innovation Voucher Scheme, Knowledge Transfer Partnership, NWDA Grand and private equity investment. With such a high concentration of ambitious companies and key business growth figures in attendance, the conference couldn’t fail to deliver on broad and comprehensive knowledge sharing and the fantastic opportunity to network with policy makers, entrepreneurs and academic experts.
Feedback from the event has been overwhelmingly positive, with delegates suggesting this becomes a regular event in the UMIC calendar. Sandeep Sanyal, Innovations Specialist at Business Link Northwest was particularly pleased at just how many businesses came to the conference.
“The turnout was impressive which means that delegates did find the event and the information relevant. The grants and funding available for businesses substantiated by live, successful case studies will surely prompt other businesses to tap into the potential this presents."
As a tenant of the UMIC's Manchester Incubator Building, Euprotec were in attendance to hear about the opportunities for funding on offer to advance their current research and development spending to enable the company to broaden the spectrum of specialist services it offers to the market.
